VSC builds on equipment fleet with new terminal tractors, semitrailers

Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC) has received ten Kalmar terminal tractors and ten Seacom semitrailers.
The equipment was moved from the Group’s North West terminal to enhance VSC operational capacities amid container market surge in the Far Eastern Sea basin.
The vehicles are used to handle containerised cargo at berths, yards, and railway front.
The equipment was delivered to VSC in two railway shipments.
Logistics operator Ruscon (part of Delo Group) supported the transportation, providing forwarding services and developing special schemes for securing out-of-gauge cargo on the platforms for its safe transportation.
Previously, since the beginning of 2022, five more Kalmar terminal tractors, five Seacom semitrailers, as well as a Raniero forklift have been redeployed to VSC terminal as part of the project aimed at enhancing VSC capacity.
Additionally, Global Ports plans to transfer three RTGs and eight Kalmar straddle carriers from the North-West to VSC, expanding the terminal equipment fleet by 20 per cent in 2023.
In August VSC began servicing a new regular container service by shipping line SITC, a division of Asian transport and logistics group SITC International Holding.
VSC is part of Global Ports Group; located in deep-water Port of Vostochny, Primorsky Krai, Russia.
In July VSC put into operation a new automobile entry complex (AVK), connecting the terminal with the road Artyom – Nakhodka – Vostochny port.
